Happiness is a Choice, Suffering is Optional
It is 2am here on the Nicoya Peninsula. I am awake!. In these trying times three catastrophic events seem to be occurring simultaneously. The financial crash of the American economy, the world wide Corona pandemic and the worldwide political unrest interwoven with the unprecedented lack of integrity of the media and the industrial/ political complex and the medical and food industries and the mainstream leadership in the world. Sitting on my deck, overlooking the Pacific ocean, waves beating the sand, a flock of pelicans flying back and forth in perfect formation, trying to center myself for a few minutes after feeling the pressure and weight of the world panic being driven by the dark side. A family of Monkeys walks through the mango tree in front of me, a swarm of small green parakeets take to flight and a warm breeze from the ocean sweeps across my space. I see the crescent moon posing with the north star behind the shadow of a Royal Palm. I am reminded once again who is in charge. ( I call it GOD)
Matthew 6:34
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own
Luke 12:25
Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
I am back, doing the only thing I can do, being the best that I can be, spreading as much peace and love as I am blessed to experience. In 2 hours I will greet the day with a trek through the Tropical rain forest and along the beach by the side of my beloved. Believe it or not, happiness is a choice, suffering is optional.
